The education is good at Neshannock but there is a lot of preparing to be tested. They need a more diverse schedule - maybe trimesters with more classes that aren't year long - the kids get bored. I also believe students should have finals at the end of semesters - I just hope my child knows how to take these types of tests. Also more active clubs are needed - less focus on football please - most parents send their kids for the education not the road games. There are many dedicated teachers and staff here but like always some are just waiting for retirement. I recommend the French Program as the language to take. I am encouraged that they are now randomly testing students for drugs b/c many students were open about using while my kids attended here. If the parents are going to ignore this the school must step in. Overall my kids learned a lot about life choices and the difference a good choice can make - but this came from a lot of home discussions not from participating in school activities. I give this school an "Average" review because with all the resources available to these students it should be much higher.

I also moved and would like to say that although every school has their bullies not all schools are this aweful. I can verify that there are schools out there where even the worst students wouldn't dream of saying some of the things I have been told, heard other students teachers say to fellow classmates. No one would dream of talking back to teachers the way they did at neshannock. I would also argue that though they have a solid education, that there are many other schools that do as well. There are also places that have a teacher student dynamic that is incredible and has changed my life. I have surprised myself with learning things that I never thought I was capable of understanding. I am now a 4.0 student in college. It makes all the difference having good peers and encouraging teachers by your side. Your child can not only learn, but love to learn things they never knew they'd love when they can understand it. I'm proof.

Neshannock School has been the worst experience of my children' s lives. I have seen all kinds of prejudice going on. From what color you are to how much money you have and if you play a sport. The most disturbing is if your child doesn't learn well they are shunned on. They make the child noticeable to all of the class mates that they have trouble leaning. The child then doesn't want to learn because they are embarrassed! There is so much bullying going on its pathetic. I am speaking from what I have saw and what the children talk about. I have heard and experienced first hand things that go on. The teachers in Neshannock School district need to take a college course in child psychology. What ever happened to the compassionate teachers? All the teachers want to do is get the numbers on the chart. They don't look at the children individually. That might be to much work for them.
