We moved new to the district (and state) this year and couldn't be more thankful for the amazing staff at Kernsville!! From the very first phone call I made to inquire about the school, and even still, we have been more than welcomed with open arms. The office staff is extremely kind and helpful. They are always willing to answer my many questions. The teachers my children have are outstanding (4th & 5th). They have both been so understanding and allow me to be apart of my children's education. The entire staff is caring and compassionate which makes for a very positive learning environment. The PTO is very active as well at Kernsville and allows for many, many volunteer opportunities throughout the year on all different levels and time slots. We are very fortunate that we found Kernsville and look forward to our many years with Parkland ahead!

I moved to the area 6 years ago, this is my son's second year at Kernsville. The principal, teacher's, staff and PTO are fantastic! The teacher's are very attentive to any and all requests. The office staff goes the extra mile to make sure that anyone who enters the building reports to the office, securing the safety of everyone. Academics are well beyond what I ever expected from an elementary school. The PTO is always involved and has great creative ways to make school fun. 'Bully Free Zone' is a major plus! It's a Great School with a great deal of parent participation!

I cannot say enough about this school and all of the people involved. The PTO is very active and provides many fun activities for the children, their families, and the community. The office staff is friendly, welcoming, and informative. The teachers are just wonderful, for the most part. Most of them keep parents well informed via newsletters or web sites and answer parent questions in a timely manner. The principal keeps things running smoothly and is almost always on the premises. He can be found helping out in various areas besides his office. He's not just a suit jacket. There is a teacher in the building with health issues, but is a great teacher, and my son said he's seen the principal even push this teacher in a wheel chair. Now that is making a school a second home for the children and teaching them much more than academics! Go Kernsville!!
