Oxford Area High School

This high school has many, many courses to offer! The teachers are very supportive. The high school also offers many clubs and activities for a student to become involved in. I enjoy attending this high school.

I am terrified to send my children to Oxford High School. The quality of parents in this district are directly reflected in the children. The sports programs are awful and quite honestly, a good ol boy network is well and alive as far as sports go. The coaches and teachers are simply not invested in growth and hence the children suffer and are a laughing stock amongst their peers at other great schools (Kennett, Avon Grove and Unionville). Again, terrified and sickened that Oxford is the district I purchased a home in with hopes that it would improve. There is a lack of private school options in the area and Avon Grove Charter School is outstanding academically but has no sports.

What more can you ask from a high school, note the parent involvement in this school is average. I think our active involvement and the way we live, created the foundation for our son to make the right decisions when he was on his own in school. Our son was not traumatize by this move into 10th grade here, and he graduated in the top 7%. This a bad bunch of kids here as with anywhere, yet he is well balanced, found his way and tutored math, did sports, appreciated the differences in people, and had fun. The teachers are dedicated and most are raised here or nearby. It is a beautiful school and well maintained.
