Wilkinsburg Senior High School

As a former student (graduating class of 2015) who attended the school for 7,8th and part of 10th grade it could use some work and I use that phrase loosely. I want to go into how the lack of parental support is a important factor of the high schools performance. It is also some of the students and teachers. From attending my 10th grade year the disrespect and lack of enforcement was ridiculous. I have heard from friends the school is becoming more strict. Also a larger portion of the horrid test scores has to do with the curriculum it is beyond simplistic, while I was there I was asked to write papers without ever hearing the teacher talk about MLA format or an annotated bibliography and when I turned my paper in to her complete how I was taught she dismissed the work and the questions I had asked her about why she wasn't teaching it to the others. The teachers are good people and care for the students but the kids just don't get that and think the teachers are against them or just targeting them. I just want to say I Support Wilkinsburg Teachers but not the Administration.
