There is so much bullying going on at this school and nothing is ever done. We moved up here hoping for better for our children and we are sadly dissapointed. The kids at this school are some of the meanest children I have ever encountered. The disgusting things that come out of their mouths make me sick to my stomach. Obviously the guidance lessons on bullying and being kind do nothing. I only wish we could afford to move back to where we came from.

My child is small for his age. Gets picked on a lot. I finally reported an incident and was basically told no one saw any of it happen! Though, my child told immediately. I did speak to Dr. Kauffman and he was insistent he couldn't look into the issue without talking to my son alone! I explained that he could talk to him with my husband or myself present anytime about this. He then told me he would t be able to do that. I do know he did speak with the other student.....didn't do much good as the same child pushed my son the next day. We did not report the incident as we know nothing would be done about it. Now we tell all of our children if another student pushes, hits, kicks you to do the same back even harder. We know the consequence will be our child getting in trouble as well. But at this point when no staff will stick up for the child being bullied they must defend themselves. Good luck to everyone at this school as I pray your child(ren) do not have to go through this.

The Red Lion Area School District is unfortunately not very parent friendly, so that goes for all the schools in this district. However, you will not find better teachers than what we have at LJM. My children have been there for the entire time since it's opening in 2009 and it was a culture shock to go to such a big school with so many rules from our sweet smaller elementary where parents were more than welcome to come and help out and felt needed and wanted there. The first few years were a little rough with the administration, who was not appreciative of parent involvement but the teachers care very much about their students there. The school itself is very clean and brand new, the kids are well behaved and respectful. No bullying is tolerated, there are always going to be incidents but if you report it to the teachers or administration they are on it immediately. You will not get a huge warm and fuzzy feeling when you get there as there are about 750 students that attend there with at least 35 classes and the class sizes are pretty large at around 25 kids per class:( You will love the art, music and gym teachers too. The staff there is A1.

I really enjoy this school and the great teachers it has in it. Specifically We really love Mrs.Youcheff, Mr.Munchel, Mr.Kaufman, Mrs.Seitz (formally at LJM , now at WM) and the new principal Mrs. Glusco is outstanding. She is grounded and realistic to really pairing fun & learning together. The kids are more engaged, and really enjoying the school!
