My son had a great experience from kindergarten through fourth grade. The teachers are creative, resourceful, attentive and responsive, particularly when there is a problem. Raising a child does take a village and we found ours at whec. What is truly remarkable is that even with budget cuts, turnover of staff and leadership, the teachers don't miss a beat. These are tough times. but if you are an engaged parent and do not expect the school/teacher to take the majority of the responsibility for your child then you and your child will love this school and your child will do very well! In particular we loved the field trips, orchestra and running club. Hopefully when our economy is better, Spanish will resume on elementary school as well as middle school, but otherwise this school offers a full range of options for kids with special needs as well as those who need to be challenged with accelerated programs.

MY son has Aspergers and when he went to this school, they identified this early and worked with him through his elementary years. Great teachers, but not on for special needs. I had 3 other children that went through this school and all recieved a great education, no problems ever with teachers or principal. Every child I had got the attention he or she needed, when needed. Also they really address issues such as bullying.
