Around Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach is within a walking distance to nearly every place of interest such as the beach, many eateries, and shopping centers. Students throng the area from the neighboring universities. Most of the condominiums are along major streets such as Mission Boulevard, Garnet, Emerald, and many more. Areas near the ocean are quite noisy. If you are looking for quieter areas, head north near La Jolla.

Enjoy hearty meals from hundreds of culinary eateries, bars, and sports clubs. Restaurants in the area serve a wide range of cuisine including American, Mexican, African, and Asian delicacies. Pick one of the several joints overlooking the ocean where you can have your favorite steaks as you watch your team. You can also hop into one of the several fast food restaurants.

Large crowds of beach lovers, surfers, and hipsters especially during summers and the weekends. Pacific Beach is a location where the party does not end at any season of the year. At the ocean, expect to see dolphins catching the waves next to the surfers. Apart from the party scene, you are likely to meet students hurrying to their classes or an elderly couple doing some jogging in the evening. Nearly all of the favorite spots are accessible on foot from the neighborhood, and most people leave their cars behind and walk.

A perfect Friday evening is characterized with loud music, outdoor parties, and cheering football fans. Fridays get busy especially when there are school breaks. Most bars and nightclubs run around the clock delivering quality food, beers, and entertainment. You can also enjoy the works of art in the resident galleries and live performance joints throughout the neighborhood. There is something for both the young and the low-key residents in the neighborhood.

Grab your surfing gear with a couple of your friends and head to Pacific Beach for some water games on a Sunday afternoon. Alternatively, watch your favorite football team battle it out in one of the rooftop big screens overlooking the beach. Select your favorite beer and steak as you enjoy your game. Sundays are also a perfect time to go shopping for food and clothing at the stores.
