Around Park Lakes

Park Lakes has two amenities parks, one on each side of the community. On the Canyon Village side is the SplashPad Texas at Park Lakes, home to a fancy, oversized splashpad and a resort-style pool with a spacious deck, providing plenty of room for having fun and cooling off. The Canyon Gate side of the community boasts a $3 million clubhouse with extraordinary covered porches and a huge community room, complete with a kitchen, which is ideal for parties and casual get-togethers. Next to the clubhouse is a junior-Olympic pool and a toddler pool. The Humble Independent School District serves the area. Park Lakes Elementary is within the community boundaries, and Humble Middle School and Summer Creek High School are each within a 15-minute drive from Park Lakes. There are also three private schools nearby: Holy Trinity, St. Mary Magdalene, and Humble Christian.

Park Lakes is about 4 miles from one of the premier sports complexes in the Houston area, Lindsay/Lyons Park. The complex spans 136 acres and has multiple baseball, football, and soccer fields along with a huge covered playground, picnic grounds, a barbecue pavilion, and a concession stand. Several youth athletic organizations use Lindsay/Lyons Park’s expansive facilities, making it a busy place during most of the year. Golfers who live in Park Lakes receive member rates at the nearby Houston National Golf Club. The course is a PGA-tour host and routinely makes the “Best 10” lists in many golf periodicals. Northeast Houston itself is known for golf because of the number of courses available; there’s over a half-dozen courses within a 20-minute drive of Park Lakes, so golfers have plenty of alternatives to choose from. Northeast Houston also offers a wide array of public events. Humble, Atascocita, and Spring host a variety of holiday festivities and events like barbecue cook-offs, pet parades, and more for the community to enjoy.
