Where to Live
Reseda is ridiculously affordable. You can easily find a large house to rent at a modest price. Although it's not always the safest neighborhood in Los Angeles, there are still plenty of safe areas for families. Tampa Avenue just south of Roscoe Boulevard and Saticoy Street are more desirable sections of the neighborhood.
Where to Eat
If it's Mexican food you favor, you'll delight in a handful of established and authentic eateries in the Reseda neighborhood. Up and down the main thoroughfare, appropriately named Reseda Boulevard, you'll find a smattering array of options for your belly, ranging from Thai, seafood, and vegan Vietnamese. There is definitely something for everyone in this neighborhood.
What You'll See
You'll see a lot of extremely flat terrain for miles. Watch out for the occasional horseback rider in certain parts of the neighborhood. Graffiti is evident in certain sections of Reseda, and there are plenty of shopping malls and retail outlets. Reseda has modestly priced rental apartment complexes as well. Reseda was also used as a film location for movies like "Boogie Nights," "The Karate Kid," "Magnolia," "Erin Brokovich," and "Terminator 2: Judgment Day."
Friday Night Fun
Check out live music at one of many clubs in Reseda or shoot some pool with friends. Grab drinks at a cocktail bar, watch the big game at a sports bar, or join a crowd and sing some karaoke. Stroll down Reseda Boulevard for a nice quiet meal. If you're not the drinking type, catch the latest theatrical releases at the multiplex cinema.
The Perfect Sunday
Head to Reseda Boulevard for a hearty breakfast. Cruise over to Reseda Park to jog off that heavy meal or enjoy a leisurely stroll around the park and observe the natural beauty. Plan for the work week by getting all of your shopping and groceries done early.
