The San Marco Theater dates back to 1938 and makes for a fun and unique date night. The new dining district also offers a variety of restaurants that offer innovative and exciting menus. Several hotspots are found within this area as well, including local breweries that are known for using local ingredients in their beers. Simply sitting and watching the sunset at Riverfront Park is definitely a great way to spend a Friday night. The Jacksonville Ice & Sportsplex is also the place to go for a night of ice skating or to watch the kids' hockey game.

Brunch is a popular option in Riverfront Park, with quite a few restaurants offering exciting menus with brunch staples like stuffed French toast, build-your-own omelets, and fresh Bloody Mary bars. It's also fun to take a walk through San Marco Square, where there may be various festivals going on such as the art festival that happens every year. It's a chance to see sculptures, pottery, and what other vendors have to offer. Balis Park is also a great place to take the kids or browse around one of the bookstores where the children can gather around for story time.
