Don't enroll your child here if they have behavioral and/or mental issues because this place is quick to punish your child and call DSS on you without getting to know and understand your child.

Davis has always had a caring school and faculty. I was associated with this school for many years and although it had difficulty with academic standards due to the demographics of the school population, the faculty worked diligently to help all students. There was never any report of bullying that was not handled by the staff. The person below who wrote the one star review doesn't seem to be the parent of the child mentioned in the review so they probably weren't informed of all the things done by the administration and the staff to handle the situation. The assistant principal of Davis is now the principal of Taylor and they are very lucky to have her.

I give this school 1 star only because it won't let me give NO STARS. This is the SORRIEST school every. I would NEVER let my child go to this school. I would much rather home school my child until they got to middle school then to let them go to Davis or Taylor. Davis has a ZERO!!! tolerance policy when it comes to bulling right? WRONG!!!! For 2 years this girl was being bullied by the same kids and for 2 years the teachers, asst. principle and the principle where told about this and all they did was keep the kids in school and at the end of the year they gave the kids who did the BULLING awards. Now the the asst. principle has moved on to be the NEW principle at Taylor. Lexington District 2 has been informed of what has been going on and yet they still let these people keep their jobs when they should have FIRED!!!! them. The best bet is to either not let your child go to this school or pull them out until the school district fires these teachers who help the bullies out by doing NOTHING!!!!.
