I love South Middle River
I am a 9-year resident of South Middle River and I love it. It is a socio-economically diverse neighborhood where all are welcome and no one is a misfit. I love that nearly all the residences in the neighborhood are relatively small, one-story buildings. To date, there are no McMansions! As an old neighborhood, dating back to c. 1950, we have some great, old trees, but we could use more shade trees. In addition the neighborhood is centrally-located between downtown Fort Lauderdale and Wilton Drive and between US 1 and I-95. Please don't refer to South Middle River as an "up-and-coming" neighborhood. It is what it is, and I hope it stays the great mix and of income levels, ethnicities and sexual preference that it is.
