Summerlin

There is always something to do here in Summerlin. Keeping kids fit and active is easy with youth sports leagues spanning swimming, tennis, baseball, basketball, and soccer. For kids with artistic interests, there's dance, performance, and visual arts lessons. Classes introducing young children to technology and languages such as Spanish and Chinese are available and growing in popularity. Adults are not left out. Fitness classes, adult softball leagues, fencing, and tai chi are just some of the many activities scheduled regularly. There are a number of active clubs participating in a wide range of interests including civic service, moms support groups and various hobbies. Summerlin's event calendar is jam-packed. Robust seasonal and holiday events happen nearly every month, with the Patriotic Parade on the Fourth of July being a major highlight. Pool parties, camp outs, and movies in the park are scheduled throughout the summer. An arts festival, a half marathon, and the Tour de Summerlin bicycle race are squeezed in among the dozens of other annual cultural and athletic events.
