Sunnyside

Sunnyside is a little nook outside the Beltway within the City limits of College Park. To correct the above information, their is the original homes of Sunnyside which were built in the 1950's then the homes closer to Rhode Island built from 1968 to 1972. Having once been connected on 51st Avenue before the building of the Beltway, there is a section of Sunnyside that is inside the Beltway but is probably is considered by the neighbors as Hollywood now. On the downside is the number of cars parked on the street, but that is expected now that families have more than the one car that was normal when the homes were constructed. The neighborhood has always been a mix of young families to empty nesters and then back again. It is a centralized location with great transportation options including MARC, WMATA, UMD Shuttle, Metro, Bike, and Car (nearby Beltway, BW Parkway). Shopping, recreational areas, and job and educational opportunities are nearby.
