I rented a Casita here in the Cristallo Ryland tract from June 2020 to August 2020. The community has many attractive qualities and the atmosphere and vibe is excellent.

We are original owners in Terra Lago, so we experienced the Short Sale turnover shortly after buying here. That was approximately 10 years ago... prices are recovering, we really enjoy the wonderful sense of community in Terra Lago, We have community events that bring us together, so you really do get to know your neighbors, yes even borrow a cup of sugar and/or offer to help a neighbor in need of a favor. There are events for adults and children alike. Our community is diverse, we have families, singles, retirees, snowbirds, vacation and long term renters. Terra Lago is gated with roving patrols, we Enjoy a Beautiful 20 acre lake with boating, kayaking, fishing, boathouse to store your kayak/pedal boat for a reasonable fee. Our Clubhouse is Beautiful and Spacious, offers convenient onsite friendly management, 24 hour access fitness center (with a playroom for the kiddos!) There is a banquet room with a catering kitchen for private parties and our social functions. Billiard, ping pong game rooms, conference room, lobby area with fireplace! We have rented out the banquet room several times for our personal use,(Daughter's engagement, birthday celebrations) it's very convenient, the views are gorgeous and the kitchen is convenient for either catered our for your own food prep/storage. There are lots of open spaces for miles of walking right within our community while enjoying our lovely lake & mountain views. Our HOA rules are on the stricter side, such as keeping up with yard, tree trimming, trash bins need to be brought in behind your gate, no overnight parking on the streets without prior approval, no visible advertising on vehicles left on driveway, RV parking is allowed for 72 hours on the street for loading/unloading, most of our rules seem to be inline with neighboring HOA communities and they don't bother us, we have never been fined in all the 10 years living here :). We are close to shopping, dining, medical, Fantasy Casino for great concerts, comedy club and great dining options! Patton park is within walking distance for lighted tennis & basketball court and new dog park (opening Jan 2017). Someone else commented in their review of... A Del Webb feeling... I must agree (we own a home in Sun City Shadow Hills, as well... we get the best of both worlds in Terra Lago a lovely community, amenities and our grand kids are welcome with no 60 day per year limitations, can use the pool without limitations either. HOA dues are currently at $269.00 includes cable w/some movies/golf channel, plus Fios Internet. Our property taxes are on the higher side since we have Mello Roos but don't let that deter you, look into it and see what you get for your money in Terra Lago we feel it's worth the quality of homes and lifestyle.

We moved here from Oregon three years ago. Have had the pleasure of doing several Real Estate transactions with Greg and Gracie Nilson. They are great to work with and have also become good friends. We love living in Terra Lago it has two great eighteen hole golf courses. It's also very close to everything. It's not a 55 and older community but it is great for retired living. We have a nice pool, work out area and a beautiful lake to fish in.

We've lived at Terra Lago for nearly 5 years now and really like it. Yes, the HOA fees are a little high but you get what you pay for, in my opinion. I love all the amenities here and enjoy participating in the events. I know there is a new section of the community recently opened that is age-restricted so maybe that would be more appropriate for someone seeking the "Del Webb" feeling. I personally like having all the amenities but NOT being in a community full of older people. Keeps us young!
