Great community with large wooded lots
Moved to The Woods at Summerford in May 2018.
Pros: Mature wooded lots, low HOA fees, mature yards (less need for new plantings etc.), friendly people of all age groups, close to Hull Street shopping and professional offices, Big Box Stores and drug stores very close, HUGE state park within miles, plenty of grocery shopping.
Cons: Rather long commute to downtown Richmond if that is where you plan to work. Roads in general in VA can be wicked in the winter due to black ice. Lack of HOA ammenities, which also keep the fees low. Lack of sidewalks but still plenty of safe walking available with limited sidewalk access.
I would recommend this neighborhood to anyone with family or if retiring.
