Although it is true the school is slightly crowded, we’ve found it worthwhile to seek out the Farragut school system for our children. I have a son at this school and daughter at the intermediate school- between the two we have had spectacular teachers 5/6 times. With such a large school I would expect there to be a wide variety of skill/motivation levels that may or may not “jive” with your child. We are thrilled that our son, who has shown little interest in school, reading especially, is now thriving with a teacher that truly inspires him daily. It only takes one, and with Farragut schools you are highly likely to find teachers who truly care for your child. Class sizes remain fairly small, our experience is between 17-21 children per class with a teaching assistant for classes that end up having a few more kids. Overall our experience has been as expected so far and we are certainly glad we were able to buy a home in this school district.

This school is terribly overcrowded. There is little to no communication between faculty and parents. Teachers here care more about test scores than actually instructing students, they teach to test not to succeed or retain. My child was thriving at our previous school and here it is the opposite. The kids here are terribly behaved and there is no control in the classroom. This serves as a severe distraction to kids that actually want to learn. I sincerely hope that the intermediate school is a better experience or I will seek to transfer my child.

This school is a joke. Worst experience ever. Everyone acts so entitled. If you want your kid to end up being a good person this is not the school for you. First grade my son had the WORST teacher ever. Do yourself a favor and get your kid in a school with some diversity. This might as well be a private school.

My Son attended FPS kindergarten and first grade, most awful experience! The teachers act like they want your child to succeed, but if your child has a learning disability or ADHD they don't seek interventions, instead want to hold your child back a year. I'm so glad I changed my Son schools, interventions are in place now, and my Son is getting caught up not thanks to Farragut Primary.
