This is the sweetest little school! Parents move houses just to be zoned for this school. Since Mrs.Hinton is once again the principal, the climate of the school is encouraging and thriving. The parental involvement and community support for the school is incredible and gives the children access to everything they need to learn. Because of all the support this school receives, it is the best elementary school in town.

This is a really wonderful school. I felt the need to rate this school because of the other reviews. We did have a lack of leadership with one principal for a couple years. She is no longer at SES, and our previous principal, Ms Hinton, returned last year. My children are all different ages and learning abilities, and all of their needs have been met while at SES. Our expectations have been exceeded, and we are truly grateful the community at our little school.

The school should be the gem of knox county school, yet it is not! Why? The leader is a woman who has not taught elementary school age, who prefers the affluent students to the disadvantaged students. Is it the fault of innocent children to come from a poor home, I think not! Shame on Julia Kirk, Celia, and Knox County school for being a blight on education.

Julia Kirk.....what a disgust woman she is. How she became a Principal is beyond comprehension. She is a bully to children as well as parents. I've seen her treat my friends children with utter disrespect because they didn't live in the higher end of Sequoyah Hills. I removed my children to give them private education after seeing how discriminatory she is towards non-white and lower income families. For the record, I am white. A disgrace to Knox County Schools.
