Excellent. Very embracing towards students and families.

Terrible. Not in the learning classes He Is supposed to be in. And he has been physically injured every day by a bully. Nothing is being done to stop it.

This is my son's first year at Vine (7th grade) and first year in a magnet school. This year has been an absolute dream. We have struggled for years with other public schools because of the excessive amount of worksheets and homework that was required. My son is very intelligent but has ADHD, so he struggles with having tons of written work. If he's being engaged and actually learning rather than doing busy work, he does much better and that's exactly our experience with Vine. He loves every one of his teachers. He comes home everyday saying he's had a good day. He wakes up for school and doesn't dread or try to get out of going. He loves all of the different classes they offer along with the core required classes. He also attends community school where he is involved in STEM Scouts, Tech Club, and many other activities it offers. All of his teachers are very involved and provide their email address, as well as phone number to you. I have contacted a few of his teachers just checking in or asking for information, and I always get a quick reply and help. As far as socially, my son is doing very well. He's had difficult experiences in the past because he is quirky and likes things outside the norm of most kids his age. He's not had one problem at Vine, and has made many friends there. He has been accepted with open arms from the teachers and students and his self-esteem is better now than it ever has been. He is thriving in this environment and I can't express how powerful that is for our family. Caring, engaging teachers really make such a difference and I am so thankful that we decided on sending him there. My only regret is not sending him there for 6th grade.

Dedicated faculty and staff work tirelessly with limited resources to prepare students of limited resources for high school courses that will prepare them for jobs or college. Every teacher works long hours to promote student success.
