Cost of Living
The cost of living in Argyle is higher than the state and national averages, and also tends to be more expensive than that of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Many of the grand estates and larger homes account for the higher cost of living in Argyle, and development in the area and expansion in northern Fort Worth has raised local home prices over the last several years.
As a smaller community, Argyle does not have its own public transit or bus system, but the town is benefitting from investment in nearby roads and highways. Interstate 35 provides easy access to the Metroplex and the DFW International Airport, and most residents here use their own vehicles to get around.
Students in Argyle are served by the Argyle Independent School District or the Liberty Christian School, both providing K-12 education. The Argyle IDS consists of Hilltop Elementary School, Argyle Intermediate School, Argyle Middle School, and Argyle High School, and class sizes tend to be small, which has created a unique learning environment for students and has helped the district become recognized as among the best in the state.
Located just north of the Texas International Speedway, Argyle is a great location for motorsport enthusiasts. The area is also known for its equestrian stables and offers a handful of equestrian schools that provide lessons and training. Locals convene at the eateries along Route 377 or take advantage of the tennis courts, 18-hole golf course, and swimming at the nearby Denton County Club.
With the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex just south of the city via Interstate 35, Argyle residents can easily enjoy all the activities, events, and attractions in the area, including the Fort Worth Zoo, Sundance Square, Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers games, and dozens of museums and cultural venues.
