Mr. Sanchez is the reason the school is suffering. They need new leadership! Not quite sure why AISD is keeping him as principal when his hands off, pretending everything is okay approach is obviously not working.

Terrible. My children are only here because our transfer wasnt approved. They will not be here ever again.

Despite a recent change in leadership, there remains an experienced core group of teachers at Webb who truly care about the students and continue to hold them to high standards. Further, the support WE continue to receive from our community remains strong; in many ways, the contributions of these non-teachers has been just as influential as the work of Dr. Garcia and the veteran teachers who no longer work here. A school is more than a principal, and a teacher who anonymously predicts their (former?) school's demise on the internet without considering who their message may reach - THEIR STUDENTS (hopefully, former) - most likely lacks the character to truly make a difference anyways. For a few years, this school was a beacon of hope for struggling middle schools. It was, and in some ways still is, the most successful Title 1 middle school. This was under the guidance of Principal Garcia. However, since Principal Sanchez took over last year, it is easy to see that Webb MS is a sinking ship on it's way back to down to it's position as a failing school. His selfish leadership focuses entirely on superficial measures of success. Just a small example: he has unofficially changed the name of the school to Webb Early College Prep Middle School. Those words don't even make sense together! He talks a great game, and loves to hear himself speak, but is indecisive and weak when it comes to what is best for the teachers and students at this school. Webb has an excellent staff of teachers, but the veterans who brought this school out of the ashes are quickly jumping ship. After Sanchez's first year, 18 faculty left. The new hires try their best, but Sanchez will ruin this school. Soon.
