Westwood Elementary School

This school is aweful. The teachers and parents alike take more notice of money and stature than children. My son's kindergarten teacher should have been a high school teacher for troubled children. She was the meanest teacher I have ever met. Friendswood altogether is a snobby area. I moved to an area that had more money than Friendswood and it is less pretentious.

The education is good, but let me tell you about the stuck up bullies, my daughter is bullied daily and the teachers and principal wont do anything about it, they have actually accused her of lying about it. Unless you make 500,000 a year or more and can teach your child to be a snob and a bully I definately would NOT reccomend friendswood isd!!!!!!

We moved from Ohio with our 3rd grader, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well my son did with the transition. Part of that is because he has wonderful teachers. Part is because the kids were kind and open to accepting him. I've never seen him get excited about doing a math competition. His only complaint is that recess is only 20 mins, and lunch is 30. I have to agree - kids need to get that energy out in order to be ready to learn! Regardless, I'm very happy with Westwood, and looking forward to Bales. :)
