Our first year at this school we had a great teacher who really cared about our child. Our second year was horrible with his teacher and the lack of accountability. The administration at this school is completely disorganized. There is no accountability and no respect for parents. The only parents who seem to do well with administration are the stay at home parents. This school also lacks security. You can walk through the front door in the middle of the day and no one will stop you. On days were I volunteered to help in the class I was giving a visitor pass by the office without anyone checking my ID or asking who I was. If you plan to pick up your child from school, you do not need to show anything to prove that you are authorized to pick up a child. All you have to do is tell them who you want to pick up.

My son loves this school he has been to 4 different schools since pre-school due to moving because job relocations. He is progressing at this school. This is his second year here. He is in 2nd grade with a 3rd grade reading level. The teachers goal is to bring him to a 4th grade level by the end of 3rd grade. He has received streight A's for the first quater grading period. And we are working on getting streight 100's as his average is around 97 or 98 and almost all E's

Gentry Elem. This school has deteriated over the past few years with multiple Principle changes...i am sure there are some good teachers but the bad ones give everyone else a bad name. The teachers have no patience with the kids and the traffic is horrible dropping or picking up your child up/off; plan to get there 30 minutes early in the morning or evening as there is only one small driveway in or out. i would have given this school at least 4 stars in the past but not anymore.

I pulled my daughter from this school after going 2 years and every time I turned around I worried for her safety. It's really changed :( The teachers are great, the students aren't. Not to mention the numerous principle changes.
