Colonial Heights Middle School

It is alright. But we learn things we will never need in our daily lives.

I went to this school many years ago but my mom was a stay at home mom so I was very upset to find out there is no bus for my LITTLE girl!!! Im not at all happy that a school that claims to care about our childrens safty expects a 4 feet tall,50 pound cute little girl to walk alone 3 blocks. I know its not far but in this day and age is that really a good idea?I spoke to many people about this and the only answer I get is " its always been that way" Well times have changed. I think CH needs to catch up, dont you.

My oldest daughter attended CHMS and my youngest daughter is a rising 8th grader this coming year. It's an excellent school but unfortunately, diversity is beginning to raise it's ugly head. However, it's not yet at the level where it has significantly degraded the learning experience. And much of it seems due to nonresidents enrolling thier kids in the CH school system but the administration is working hard to nip it in the bud. The new principal is also a vast improvement over the previous one who left prior to the beginning of the 2010-2011 school year.

can someone please tell me, how is this school? my daughter will be a 8th grade student next year, and i would like to know how the school is, so i can decide to make the move finale, or not.
