Harrison Road Elementary School

Very good school and nice teachers. My kindergartener loves it!

My experience at this school has been quite positive.

In general Spotsylvania school system I need more improvement especially how teachers talk to students and parents

This is my son's first year at this school coming from Hugh Mercer. Although my son's teacher is nice, friendly, she seems to address my concerns, there is a disconnect somewhere. I was used to getting tons of papers of information, homework, reminders from Hugh Mercer, now I feel like I'm pulling teeth to get anything from this school. It's not but so much information I'm going to get out of my 7 year old so a detailed weekly or even monthly letter to parents would have been great. I could go on but I think I will be switching him back to Hugh Mercer because of these reasons.
