After bad experience with the elementary school in South Carolina of Lexington Richland 5 district and also repetitive bullying from other kids directed to our child, we were more than thrilled to move to Virginia and be zoned to Orange County Public Schools- GBES. The teachers and administration are so friendly and professional, they even took our child off the Special needs program (IEP) and made our son and us so welcome and normal ( no different from others). I would like to say thank you for everything they do and thank you for promoting kindness and anti- bullying. And to all the parents, who experience or ever experienced challenges or being treated differently for them and their kids I would say not to give up and keep on researching for better possibilities for you and kids. Never give up and believe in your kids!

I have a 5th grader and 3rd grader. They have been at GBES since kindergarten. The way that the teachers have known my children, the friendships that they have made, and the opportunities that they have had to enhance and further engage their learning, have all made their elementary experience the best.

I have never met a more caring group of teachers and staff as I have with this school. When your in a room with them you can see and feel the love and passion each individual takes in their job. I do not have a child attending this school, but I visited this week, and can honestly say I would feel confident is sending my child to learn and grow with any of the staff. From what I know is the school needs a head lice clean up, my grand children has had it 4 times this year! Have talked to exterminator and was told with carpet, toys, head phones, pillows shared... it will create sharing head lice. From one to another SOMETHING needs to be done, why not ban together and have an Exterminator come in and treat from time to time, is the children not worth keeping safe when it can be done?
