Locust Grove Primary School

LGPS is an exceptional primary school. My grandson is a transfer student and has been welcomed and supported in his transition. I am very impressed with the first social studies unit on Civics, great way to promote student responsibility!

Excellent teachers and entire staff, makes learning fun! Two of my kids learns so much.

Mt granddaughters experience with Locust Grove Primary School has been wonderful. The Staff of this school are the best! You could not ask for better educational instructors. They are all a pleasure to work with.

The school so far this year has my approval for my Kindergartener. They communicate everything so well (via an automatic voicemail system), I always get friendly staff when visiting or calling the office, and this year's teacher has been great. Even with my child being a little handful on occasion (what 5 y/o isn t), the teacher has been patient and is diligent to the school s discipline policies (green/yellow/red colors throughout the day). I had concerns about the curriculum at the start, being that my child has a lot of pre-exposure (preschool and Jr. K), but she reassured me that they will get what they need over the course of the year and they will certainly move forward with a strong foundation. It seems that these teachers have their hands tied down somewhat to what they feel they can teach or how fast they can move along based upon the County or State rules, but they still appear to be positive and happy to teach. I will update as the year progresses, but so far so good!
