We had a great start at Laburnum despite the complaints that i heard about the school. We had a great 2 yrs with teachers that were excellent. The teacher she had in 2nd grade was one of those people that are teaching for a paycheck and not because she has a love for children. She never had control over her class it was a zoo in there. She always seemed to not know anything in regards to complaints the kids would come home with when questioned. One of the ladies in the office is extremely rude, and the principal does not follow through with emails, phone calls or parent concerns. This school needs so re staffing quick and i mean from the lunch ladies to the Principal!!

My child has been at this school for 2 years. I was concerened about my child & her being around new people, I have had some concerns for my child learning devlopment. I have express that with the staff. Everyone from her teachers to principle & even the rest of the office staff have helped me with making sure she is where she needs to be. I feel comfortable with her being there. The team work & understanding that we have with each other I value the most. Thank you.

The teachers are excellent; however, they are dealing with a principal who does not address the underlying reasons for the disrespectful behaviors of the students. Rewards are a temporary fix as they do not change the student's mental health issues. The children would benefit from referrals to outside counselors to be evaluated, diagnosed, and address their behavioral concerns through play therapy , individual and family counseling. The answer is not found in missing out on recess, receiving reward bucks, lectures from administrative staff and countless visits to the office.

My son attends this school through the Trailblazers program. This school definitely has its ups and downs. More downs I would say than ups so I'll have to rate this school with simply 2 stars. The office staff can be extremely rude and unprofessional at times. But the faculty seems to be friendly and some actually do care about their students.
