Brock Road Elementary School

Absolutely amazing! I couldn’t pick a better school for my children!! I went to Brock road as well as a child and the warmth and care has never changed!

Was displeased with the experience as a whole. Had two kids go from Kindergarten to 5th grade here and through that period had several encounters with issues as far as Teachers disrespecting their students and the principal always siding with the teachers and not concerned with parents discontentment. Their teachers are not educated on first aid and there was an instance where children were exposed to heat exhaustion and the facility showed no concern. Several teachers are known to constantly shout at their students and though several parents showed concern with that environment no changes ever occurred same Teachers have been there the entire 5 years.

This is my daughter's first year at Brock Road Elementary. She attended anther Spotsylvania school for Kindergarten last year. That school was AMAZING. I am less than impressed with Brock Road. There is zero communication. We don't know who the Principal is. Every single function at my daughter's other school the Principal would get up and talk during an assembly. Brock Road we are lucky enough to have a school function let alone see the Principal. At the other school the Principal knew all the kids by name. She even knew my younger children's names. One School One Book last year they had a big function to introduce it. At Brock Road the book was sent home and that was it. My daughter said they don't even discuss it during class. I had to go pick up my daughter from school the other day and they didn't even ask for my I.D. Talk about scary. I was hoping since we were moving in the same school district the schools would be the same...or at least similar. They are not in anyway. I wish we could drive her to her other school. We are looking into different schools now. Such a shame.

My son has attended Brock Road for three years. I could not have asked for better teachers for my child. I have volunteered each year in the classroom and have loved what I see. Should we ever relocate, the next school will have high standards to live up to.
