I was enrolled here in 9th to 11th grade. I was very unhappy with this school. The school mainly focused on sports, the faculty and staff were rude and overly strict and the school had occasional fights. It was very scary, wondering if I was going to be attacked by another student. There was no leadership and it was out of control. I never enjoyed being here and would beg to transfer. I don't recommend this school.

Strasburg High School is one of the worst schools to go to. Sports is the foremost part of this school and the coaching is horrible. The school is also filled with ignorance. My child had to deal with ignorance at this school on a daily basis. I have read the reviews others posted and things at this school are only getting worse. I would advise anyone who plans to enroll their children at this school to rethink. They should close this school and fire all the faculty and staff in it.

I love Strasburg HS. We moved to the area from Northern VA in 2005 because of the schools there. I have had one child graduate from the school and another is currently enrolled there. Next year I will have two in the school. My child had no problems getting accepted to a university. The school is clean and well maintained. Strasburg is noted for its sports programs but they do a great job academically too. There are Standards of Learning in Virginia and Strasburg HS is fully accredited in Virginia. My children have participated in sports, drama, band, FCCLA, Girls State. The Band has an excellent instructor and they brought back top awards in the state competitions last year. The community is very supportive of the school. Most of them are alumni. The disciplinary actions noted in another review were blown way out of proportion by the writer. There is a zero tolerance policy in effect at all the county schools and the students were informed of the possible penalties well in advance. I am very happy with my children attending this high school.

All around, Strasburg lacks a great deal of leadership. First and foremost, Strasburg's main focus is sports. If you are not related to a faculty member or do not play a sport, Strasburg High School does not care what you do. If a student falls off track, the school does nothing to help them. If anything the administration pushes them further away. The faculty and staff gossip and talk amongst themselves constantly. The town is small, so in a way it is inevitable. Teachers will punish students they don't like based on rumors. The disciplinary actions are terrible. For ex: Students at the high school have always "dipped" during school time for years. Just recently administration has taken the initiative to rid the school of such acts by suspending a high number of its students. Some of the students who had just made sports teams were kicked off a day after tryouts due to the matter. Overall, this is a terrible school as of right now. In the future, if they get a principal who knows how to deal with all types of children and not just athletes and honor students I'm sure things will improve however, its not looking up for the school.
