Village Park

Village Park is located a few minutes northwest of a newly constructed park of the same name in Henry County. This beautiful park has paved walking trails and a fitness circuit over a mile long to provide exceptional opportunities for people to exercise and connect with nature. There are also several pavilions, a large sodded area for special events, and a spectacular fountain which provides a refreshing play space for children along with a new playground. Care has been taken in the planning stage to make this great new park accessible for handicapped persons. A large community center is used for gatherings and meetings, and there are several sports fields available for fun and games. Village Park is a great place to bring the family and is open seven days a week. For those that love the outdoors, Reynolds Nature Preserve is located in the nearby town of Morrow. This 146-acre nature preserve features a lake and other water features with over three miles of hiking trails, a heritage farm, and a garden for flowers and fresh vegetables. Many native azaleas bloom in the spring during the annual Azalea Festival. There is also a Yule Log Festival in December, and local bands play music in the amphitheater. Another great place to hike and enjoy nature is Panola State Park, and Panola Mountain Golf Course is great for golfers.
