Whitney offers lots of housing choices for any budget. This includes single-family homes with large backyards, older established housing, new constructions, and even homes zoned for horses. Mobile home communities provide more modest abodes. There are also a large number of high-rise condos along the 515 freeway.

Where to Eat

Many of Whitney's eateries can be found along Boulder Highway. Whether you're looking for sushi, pho, tacos, or burgers, you'll find it nearby. The various casinos in the area are also great options for exploring a variety of different cuisines. One casino in particular worth dining at is Sam's Town. With a steakhouse as well as a BBQ joint, they offer some of the tastiest comfort food in Whitney.

What You'll See

Families, singles, and retirees alike call Whitney home. Some areas have a rural, small-town feel, while others feel more suburban. It's not uncommon to see a lot of residents with UNLV gear on, as Whitney is the home of the UNLV football team's home field, Sam Boyd Stadium.

Friday Night Fun

The row of bars on West Sunset Road is a big draw for many residents. There is also a large selection of casinos in the area like Sam's Town, Sunset Station, Eastside Cannery, and Boulder Station with activities like bowling, movies, and bingo to enjoy. Whitney is also neighbors with Henderson, so it's not uncommon for residents to visit places like The District at Green Valley Ranch for evening fun.

The Perfect Sunday

Residents of Whitney might spend a Sunday shopping at The Galleria at Sunset or enjoying breakfast with friends at one of the local buffets. The Whitney Ranch Aquatic Center is a great family-friendly place to cool off at the pool, take dance classes, or exercise. The very popular Cowabunga Bay water park is also just minutes from town.

Price Vibes

Whitney offers a price point for all types of buyers. Those on a moderate budget can live out here comfortably, but those who want to splurge have options too. This area feels both urban and suburban, and the real estate market reflects that. From condos to single-family homes, there is a wide variety of options scattered through all walks of Whitney.

Transportation Options

There are a lot of freeway choices to get to other parts of the city including the 515, 95, and 215. There are some walkable areas within some of the communities, but its best to get around by car, as sidewalks aren't consistent throughout town. A bus route along Boulder Highway offers rides to Downtown Las Vegas.
