Brookwood Middle School

Brookwood Middle School is a great school! We school-choiced our kids from LGMS (Lake Geneva) and couldn't be more happy. It is a smaller school, which is awesome. When we walk through the school every teacher knows my kids names! They have great programs before and after school, and do a great job with behavior. There was so much poor behavior at LGMS, so we left. Brookwood is soooo much better!!!

Awesome for all three of my children at different levels

My son is attending middle school there now. They discourage parent involvement, and are way too high tech for their own good. They use a mini iPad for everything! My son's handwriting has not improved since 3rd grade, he can not write a full paper or take proper notes, which by 7th grade he should be able to do! Keep in mind he is one of the top in his class. His reading levels are exceptionally high (I credit this to the elementary school) and excels at math. They do offer a wide variety of classes, including coding and 3D art, but on the other hand he has been in Spanish every year and knows nothing... They put their focus on test scores and test scores only, science and social studies take a backseat. He has math (multiple choice on the iPad) and reading homework, and never has brought home any homework in any other subject. The elementary school was great, but middle school has been a huge disappointment. Our daughter is in private school to avoid her attending the middle school.

My son was new to Brookwood Middle School this year. The teachers and administration made the transfer a positive experience for my son. My son use to "hate" going to school. Now he loves it! The teachers are wonderful to work with. I feel for a small school they offer a lot of programs for the kids and I feel the technology they provide the kids with is outstanding. I highly recommend moving to Genoa City and enrolling your children in Brookwood Middle school. It's been the best school experience we have had to date.
