Johnson Creek High School

I love this school. My kid is a higher level learner and the pod learning system seems to really work for him! no one falls through the cracks. Teachers are young and very dedicated!

This school has extremely poor test scores, administration that does not care at all about what parents or teachers want and unfortunately appears to have the school board in its pocket. A curriculum coor has convinced the school to eliminate grades for students k-8, and it essentially a pass/fail system where no one is allowed to fail. They push students along who are doing poorly and do not challenge higher students. They are presently looking to change the hs grading system in a very similar way. Teachers are very unhappy, which makes for a poor educational environment. One teacher told me he would not send his own child to this school! This is a dumbing-down of the educational system. No child left behind does not mean make all students appear to be the same. Communication with parents is horrible. Notice how old other reviews here are!
