My experience at this school was deeply unpleasant. This schools views it's intimate, small class sizes as a strength but it is in fact a very dangerous weakness. As a former student of Kansasville, I walked into high school dangerously unprepared for the social aspect that "normal" schooling brought. The idea of a different teacher for every class almost seemed foreign and produced tremendous anxiety. The strict, unapologetic leadership style that Kansasville offers only increases anxiety, rather than inacts behavioral changes. I am now a college student and I look back at me and my former Kansasville classmates transition into high school and see how much harder we had it. It was harder for us to be accepted into inner circles that were already formed at larger middle schools... It was harder for us to gain the confidence to speak up in front of a large class... Kansasville's structure does not set up a good base for social advancement.

Kansasville transitioned to virtual schooling during the recent pandemic seamlessly. They already had in place 1:1 technology for their 3rd through 8th grade students and were utilizing several programs daily in the classrooms. Once virtual schooling became a necessity, the transition was simple. All students continued to learn and work was completed and graded. Thanks to the administration for their forethought in preparing our students for the future and to the teachers who showed endless dedication to their students and profession!

I disagree throughly with the comment about the 7th-8th grade teacher. She is a very caring person, who wants her students to succeed, and will try her hardest to see this happens. Some parents should quit blaming teachers, and look at their own child. I feel Kansasville has the greatest teachers, and all the staff that makes Kansasville, a great school. My husband and I are proud to say that our child goes there.
