I have been actively involved in both the Lodi Primary and Elementary Schools for nearly 5 years and have nothing but positive things to say about the District as a whole and these two schools. The principals of both schools are very good at maintaining discipline in the halls and classrooms, while being loved by the students too. These principals are outstanding - Lyle at LES even dressed with cartoon ties which the kids love. He personally greets all the kids and parents outside the school as they come in the morning and waves goodbye in the afternoon. He is always open to communications and visibly enjoys the children - I know because i caught him singing once with a group of kids that couldn't go outside for recess and they were all clearly having way more fun with him! The teachers are also fantastic, as my 3rd grader is clearly excited to read at night and come to school each day. The schools are also terrific in music and math - the kids know how to read music by the time they leave 2nd grade and my daughter now plays the piano better than I do. They have a computer math lab too which the kids love. Top notch all around in my opinion!

Both of my sons have attended the Elementary School and both have had very good experiences. The principal is incredibly dedicated and enthusiastic, and the teachers are very open to working with students as individuals. My older son has an IEP and his time at the Lodi Elementary School really set the stage for his academic success. This school welcomes parental involvement. The district as a whole is committed to exploring best educational practices in this century, as technology is changing education.

Well there is a new principle this year and all my worst fears have now been realized. nothing good happening here for my son now. Small town living at it's worst.
