Huegel Elementary School

My third child is halfway through Huegel School and we have been very happy with it. Positive atmosphere, nice sense of community with social events, etc in a racially diverse student body. Economically students tend toward the middle--so not as huge a disparity of rich and poor together as in many Madison schools. It is in city of Madison, not town of Madison as stated in Zillow. I have heard that it is a sought-after school for teachers to get a job, which makes for good staff quality.

I am an ex employee of Huegel - I would like to share with parents how fortunate they are to have their children enrolled in Huegel Elementary. The entire staff are highly dedicated, qualified, caring individuals that prioritize the best interests of your child. T.Turner

Academic program is very good. Children are challenged by very good, caring teachers. Principal is excellent and very involved. Parents are active volunteering and supporting school events. Very nice place.

Huegel is a great community school with lots of fun events throughout the year. The principal is young and energetic, and the teachers are passionate and involved. My boys love going to school here.
