Muir Elementary School

This is not a school I would encourage parents to enroll their children in.

Our daughter has been at Muir since Kindergarten and is now in 4th grade. We have been more than pleased with our experience at John Muir. All the teachers were a perfect fit for for our daughter - a lot of care and consideration goes into student placement from our experience. Each of her teachers genuinely cared about each and every one of their students and it showed in the classroom - providing a true sense of community and a wonderful learning environment. It's been a very positive experience for our family - we love it!!

John Muir Elementary is a wonderful school. My two children are thriving there and LOVE their teachers. They have both been challenged at their level and continue to develop new skills in math and reading. My first grader's reading ability has just blossomed! We have been very pleased with the school environment and the quality of the teachers.

My kids are all at John Muir and it is an amazing, nurturing environment. Like most schools, there are some mediocre teachers, but the majority of the teachers are very involved and committed to creating a learning environment that benefits everyone, from the most advanced to those in need to serious remedial learning. Many of the teachers and staff live in the immediate neighborhood and have sent their children to the school. They do their best to make Muir a special and safe place.
