Coming from a student it is a great school, but could offer students more freedom within the school. They keep adding restrictions that are making students feel controlled and sheltered. Schools are here to guide students into the rest of their lives but here we are not learning independence. If this continues students will not know how to be independent when they graduate. The teachers and resources at the school are amazing, and I have some close relationships with a good amount of my teachers.

My four children attended McFarland K through 12th grade. It was an incredible experience, one that prepared them for college and the real world. Many times, my children have stated how much easier college is/was, compared to other students, because of the rigorous classes and how well teachers prepared them.

This school has excellent teachers, a dedicated principal, a challenging academic environment, and good athletic program.
