I attended this high school 2013-2014Let me preface this with, yes, there are some students who get rowdy! So what, the occasional food fights and brawls were delightfully entertaining! (srs) It gives the school character. I transferred to this school from a suburban whitewashed school. When i first went into this school i was scared because of how boisterous these kids got. But in retrospect it taught me that the world isn't a bunch of people obeying dictations and doing as they are told. This school builds great character. They offer a wide variety of elective classes. I personally enjoyed the photography course, desktop publishing, psychology, and biomedical science.

I'm a former student of Hamilton and when i went there the school was already falling apart. Most of the teachers were great but a good deal of them didn't care in the slightest. At the time the guidence counsilors didn't care and would give the students useless classes that could cost them the abilty to graduate. During my senior year there were lots of fights involving the freshmen and sophmores and the disrespect of the students just made the whole experience horrible. The only good points I can mention are that the Psychology, Graphic tech and wodshop programs were fanitastic, other than idiots trying to make bongs and pipes, and left me with a great respect for tools and their appropriate use. Still, I wish teh school never would have gotten rid of its automotive program before i went there. I recomend only sending your children here if they can take a punch or are intimidating enough to not get messed with.

i went to this school between 1996 and 1998 i wasn't too happy on how i was treated there fights broke out spitballs in the bathroom including bad security guards which i was previously injured by 1 of them Mr Leeland whom was never fired 15 years ago that got away with most of the problems as the teachers caused so many problems and did nothing to help me learn back then don't go to this school ever it's just plain bad

I went here all four years and I have always been 50/50 about this school. I disliked the fact that my fellow peers would disrespect teachers and even disrespect each other. The amount of ignorance in this school was ridiculous. BUT I have to say that the teachers here were more than amazing. Not once did they ignore me or my questions. What saddens me the most is the idea that the its the fault of the teachers, when there are more aspects to why this school is not the best. I've never seen such strong willed teachers want to give up at any moment, but taught me to keep trying.. This school made me become a very open person to diversity and differences, and also made me realize the flaws in America's educational institutions. Its not the teachers' fault, its the administration and the overall poverty of some of these cities, like Milwaukee. Also I think No Child Left Behind has a lot to do with the bad test scores.
