Heyer Elementary School

Heyer was a great school 4 or 5 years ago. As of today they've earned an F.

Such an amazing school. My son has adhd and yet his test scores were terrific. I'd recommend this school a thousand times over. If we hadn't moved, we would have stayed at Heyer. My son misses it and talks about Heyer often. What a great experience we had with this school!

Our fifth grader has been at Heyer since third grade. We could not ask for a better school. She receives some special ed services and the teachers embrace the philosophy that all children can learn and their job is to figure out how to teach them. There is a large contingent of Hispanic students at Heyer which adds a richness to the environment.

My daughter spent her entire time in grade school at Heyer. At first I really liked it, but over time the quality of her education declined. It started 2-3 years ago, after White Rock closed. Now the school is essentially half Hispanic (non English speaking) and the school has dedicated itself towards catering to those non-English speaking students while the rest fall by the wayside. We started in a different district this year for middle school and it is shocking/disappointing how far behind my daughter is because of the poor education she received at Heyer. I would NEVER recommend someone send their child here. Ever.
