Woodland Heights

There are a whopping 14 parks in the community of Woodland Heights, which no matter where you decide to live in the neighborhood, you're only probably a few homes away from a park. They come in all sizes with some small ones hidden amongst the homes. Parks like Lacy Park, Friendship Park, Ridge Park, and Kollar Park are fantastic simple parks that contain large open expanses of greenspace and playgrounds. They're perfect for play and picnics, especially Kollar Park which features a large lake with a footpath that loops around it. Bartlett Park and Berkley Park both offer basketball, baseball, playgrounds and open greenspaces. They're ideal spaces for days of leisure or a game with friends. Another park with sporting options is Dolphin Park which features six different public baseball diamonds, a tennis court, a basketball court, and of course a playground with open greenspace. Dolphin Park is the place for community baseball games and events. The community is very green and is host to many open green spaces as well as green belts that cut through the area. Vine Park, Shady Oaks Park, Oakhill Park, and Streamwood Park are all parks that feature wide open spaces that locals take advantage of regularly. Whether it's frisbee, catch, flag football, picnics, or any other outdoor pastime, there's ample space for every affair.
