From the lakefront and the skyline to art installations and quirky neighborhood bars, Chicago has no shortage of worthy photo ops. Find your latest Instagram inspiration at one of these eight neighborhood spots.

The Art Institute of Chicago - The Loop

The Art Institute of Chicago is a veritable feast for Instagrammers. Get a picture of the imposing bronze lions guarding the entrance of the museum. Take a selfie with Van Gogh (after all, the painted self-portrait is the original selfie). Turn on your phone’s panorama mode to get the perfect shot of the epic view from The Modern Wing. Plus, the museum’s Loop location puts it right next to Millennium Park and the Bean (officially known as Cloud Gate), two other topnotch Instagram opportunities.

Burnham Park - Hyde Park

Burnham Park is 600 acres of lakefront land in Hyde Park, so picture takers are spoiled for choice. Do you favor achingly beautiful landscape and horizon shots? Walk up to Promontory Point, a tree-lined peninsula that has a picturesque field house and an incredible view of both the lake and the city’s skyline. Do you prefer filling your Instagram with nature shots? Walk through the park’s McCormick Bird and Butterfly Sanctuary to hunt for the perfect photo. If sunny, playful posts are more your style, spread your towel out on 12th Street Beach and strike a pose. Last, but not least, fitness addicts will love showing off their gains at Burnham Park Outdoor Fitness Station

Garfield Park Conservatory - East Garfield Park

Garfield Park Conservatory, located in East Garfield Park, is a green oasis in the middle of the city. The glass structure houses about two acres of thriving plant life. Keep your phone at the ready as you explore the Desert House, the Palm House, the Fern Room, and more. Be sure to get a picture of the pond filled with brilliant orange and white koi. Instagram yogis will leap at the opportunity to try out the conservatory’s free yoga Saturdays, held twice a month in the indoor Horticulture Hall or on the Bluestone Terrace.

Mi Tocaya in Logan Square is ripe for Instagram posts with colorful, artful cocktails and plates of food. Plus, the intricate tile flooring, jungle green bar, and vibrant walls lend themselves to striking photos. Come for the food, and leave with the pictures that prove your #foodie game is strong.

South Pond Wooden Pavilion - Lincoln Park

For Instagrammers who love interesting architecture, the South Pond Wooden Pavilion at Lincoln Park Zoo is a must. The pavilion arches across part of the zoo’s Nature Boardwalk, designed by architecture firm Studio Gang, creating interesting patterns of light and shadow. Even better, you can see the city’s skyline framed at the end of the pavilion. No filters required to make this spot look amazing. When you tear yourself away from the pavilion, you can stroll along the rest of the Nature Boardwalk looking for your next Insta post.

Wabash Arts Corridor - South Loop

The Wabash Arts Corridor in the South Loop is a public art project on a grand scale. Started by Columbia College in 2013, this corridor has grown into one of the city’s most interesting places to find street art. Pose in front of the larger-than-life and photo-real mural of a moose blowing a pink bubble (one of the more popular Instagram backdrops of this location). If you prefer interesting lighting for your Instagram posts, head to The Wabash Lights, a colorful light installation that runs beneath the L tracks at Wabash and Monroe.

The Wormhole Coffee - Wicker Park

If you like to fill your Instagram with latte art and coffeehouse vibes, add The Wormhole Coffee to your bucket list. This Wicker Park cafe has a rotating menu of coffee roasters, so your taste buds will never get bored. Plus, movie buffs will need to post pictures of the posters and memorabilia that crowd the coffee shop. The crowning jewel? An actual DeLorean from “Back to the Future.”

Wrigley Field - Wrigleyville

Wrigleyville might just be Chicago’s top party neighborhood, especially when it comes to baseball season. Whether you are a diehard fan of the North Side’s team or just a casual game day goer, there is no denying the magic of Wrigley Field. Throw up a quick pic of the iconic stadium’s ivy-covered walls or an expansive shot of the field. If you managed to not catch Cubs Fever after the edge-of-your-seat World Series win in 2016, you can get photos and videos up of one of the many shows put on by hugely popular performers like Billy Joel or Jimmy Buffett.
