Amazon is expanding in the Silicon Valley with a lease of an office building in North San Jose, according to the Mercury News.

The 64,000-square-foot building is located at 2302 Trade Zone Blvd., west of North Capitol Avenue and Interstate 680. Major renovations to the site are already underway.

This isn’t the first move Amazon has made recently to expand its San Jose presence. Amazon previously made a deal to occupy two floors of an office complex in Downtown San Jose, and the company’s Lab126 research and development unit moved into the 75 E. Santa Clara St. building. In October, Amazon also agreed to set up shop at Mountain View’s mixed-use development The Village at San Antonio Center, where construction is still ongoing. Also in October, Amazon subleased 165,000 square feet at 2795 Augustine Drive in Santa Clara.

This marks yet another corporation’s expansion efforts in San Jose. Google is embarking on the construction of a transit village in Downtown San Jose, while Apple has bought enough land to construct an 85-acre campus in North San Jose. Meanwhile, Samsung has already moved into an office space on North First Street.
