Chisholm Trail Ranch Donating Land for New Fort Worth School
The 600-acre master planned community Chisholm Trail Ranch was envisioned as place where one could live a fully integrated lifestyle. Education is a part of that kind of ethos and now the residential development group behind the community is ensuring that will happen.
The Walton Group of Companies is donating 12 acres to the Crowley Independent School District so that they can build a new elementary school within the community.
The closest elementary school otherwise is Dallas Park Elementary School, which is 1.2 miles away. As enrollment has grown, the district needed to expand in order to meet growing populations and a school was always going to be part of Phase I for the community.
Upon completion, Chisholm Trail Ranch is expected to include around 1,100 single-family homes. There are currently eight one- and two-story homes available with prices starting in the mid $200,000s. Residents will also have access to an expansive trail system that links to area parks and schools. The community also includes Chisholm Trail Park and the Chisholm Trail Community Center.
Future phases will also bring over 1 million square feet of retail and commercial space to the community, the first of which is expected to open in Summer 2018. The community is located in Fort Worth along the Chisholm Trail Parkway.
