Fort Worth is taking more steps to establish itself as a worthy competitor to its larger city to the east. A new venue of eateries called the Crockett Street Food Hall is coming to Fort Worth sometime in the first half of 2018, according to a report in Eater Dallas.

The new food hall will be a part of Crockett Row at West 7th, a mixed-use development in the Cultural District of Fort Worth. The Crockett Street Food Hall will be home to 14 local restaurants, each representing a different type of cuisine. Burgers, donuts, and Texas barbecue will be some of the options offered.

The inside of the food hall is planned to be bright, modern, and airy, with an open floor plan. The 16,000-square-foot facility will have concrete floors and will have both indoor and outdoor seating.

John Tesar’s Knife Burger is the first anchor tenant to announce plans to locate at the food hall. Knife Burger will offer a menu of 4-5 burgers each day and a full bar. As the anchor restaurant for Crockett Street, Knife Burger will occupy 1,100 square feet.

Other tenant spaces can range from 100 to 1,100 square feet. So far, Knife Burger is the only eatery that has signed on to be part of the facility. As the project comes closer to completion, more tenants are expected.
