After a late-night club hopping session in Uptown, you’ll be pretty hungry and McDonald’s isn’t going to cut it. A real meal full of delectable flavors and diverse ingredients is the main goal before you head home. With an area like Uptown, known for their late-night clubs and bars that line McKinney Avenue and surrounding streets, it’s no surprise that many of the restaurants have late-night hours and menus.

Whether you want Thai or tacos, there’s a late-night spot in Uptown for whatever you’re craving.

Crushcraft Thai has a late-night schedule on Friday and Saturday, staying open until 3 a.m. to serve those leaving the clubs and bars of Uptown at 2 a.m. Their Thai cuisine is straightforward and includes curries, noodles, and rice mixed with a variety of greens and meats. They also serve shareable items like spring rolls and tofu fries as well as craft greens like salad and soup. It’s a laid-back atmosphere with food served in cardboard bowls. With plenty of space to sit, you won’t be the only one eating at Crushcraft Thai early in the morning.

OMG Tacos

OMG Tacos doesn’t limit their late-night hours to only the weekends. They’re open every day until 3 a.m. making for the best spot to grab a quick, made-to-order meal. They label themselves as a Southern California-style taco shop that allows customers to make their own tacos from a variety of ingredients including hot Cheetos and lengua (tongue). Quesadillas, nachos, loaded fries, and tortas are also available to order. For dessert, you might want to try the churros or the mango slushie with chamoy sauce, a tamarind straw, and watermelon-flavored gummies. Take note that tacos can be enjoyed in the indoor, cozy lounge which has couches in front of a TV or on the outdoor patio under twinkling lights.

Moxie’s Grill & Bar

Moxie’s Grill & Bar in Uptown was the first U.S. location of this Canadian restaurant chain. They’re known for their delicious steaks, juicy burgers, chipotle mango chicken, pastas, sandwiches, and their white chocolate brownie. And the best part? They stay open late. Monday through Wednesday the restaurant is open until midnight, but Thursday through Saturday they stay open until 2 a.m. The food may be casual, but since the restaurant is connected to The Crescent, the interiors are well styled and chic. Keep an eye out for Dallas Stars’ owner and Moxie’s Grill & Bar owner, Tom Gaglardi, during your visit.

Playground Bar Uptown is exactly as it sounds—a playground for adults. It’s a bar with a seesaw, giant Jenga set, Tic Tac Toe, skeeball, beer pong, video games, and corn hole. However, they also serve food through their on-site taco window, and it stays open until 2 a.m. during the week and 3 a.m. on the weekends. They serve tacos, nachos, and quesadillas with chicken or steak fajita meat, barbacoa, pastor, and picadillo, as well as small sides like chips and queso or elote (Mexican-style corn).
