Prometheus, a major housing developer of multi-family residential complexes, has purchased a 176,000-square-foot office campus in Mountain View. The two buildings in the office complex are at 675 E. Middlefield Road and 685 E. Middlefield Road, between State Route 237 and Ellis Street.

Given Prometheus’s expertise, it’s likely the campus could one day see multi-family residential complexes. And because the office campus is located near a light rail line, the property could be built into a transit village. 

With the Bay Area’s notorious traffic and high demand for real estate, many cities are opting to build transit villages. Walnut Creek will soon see a transit village next to the local BART station. Even search giant Google is developing a transit village at the Diridon Station in Downtown San Jose.
