Maracay Homes is at the forefront of Phoenix-area building when it comes to a focus on sustainable design. Per a recent press release, the homebuilder announced that they design or developed nearly 300 Phoenix-area home that met LEED criteria in 2017.

LEED certification requires strict compliance across several areas of sustainability, including water-efficient fixtures, LED lighting, and energy-efficient heating and cooling systems. It is also one of the most sought-after features that buyers are looking for, according to a 2013 National Association of Homebuyers (NAHB) study.

Maracay’s 300 qualifying home designs can be found across five neighborhoods in the area. The Preserve at Adora Trails in Gilbert, Hawthorn Manor in Chandler, and Cottages at Rio Paseo in Goodyear all contain homes aiming for LEED certification. Meanwhile, The Vista at Granite Crossing in Mesa and Villages at Rio Paseo in Goodyear will include certified homes when they open in January 2018. Home there are expected to be priced in the low $400,000s and low $200,000s, respectively.
