More retail and restaurant choices are coming to the busy, shopper-friendly Northwest Highway corridor in Northeast Dallas.

According to the Dallas Morning News, developers of High Point Crossing shopping center are building more than 170,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space that will be spread throughout several buildings.

Located east of North Central Expressway, between Abrams Road and Skillman Street, the new retail hub will be an ideal fit with the neighborhood. Kohl’s and Target are directly across the street at Medallion Center. The Timbercreek Crossing development is nearby with Sam’s Club, Walmart, and J.C. Penney, and shopping and dining favorite Mockingbird Station is a stone’s throw away.

Between a population of 150,000 people within a three-mile radius and Northwest Highway traffic counts that exceed 50,000 vehicles a day, High Point should have a high volume of potential shoppers.

More than two years ago, Houston developer Ainbinder Company purchased the 13-acre site, which is the former home of Steakley Chevrolet. Meanwhile, CBRE is marketing tenant space in High Point Crossing.
